Jennifer Borislow is founder and President of Borislow Insurance. She is a nationally recognized expert, author, speaker and thought leader on employee benefits, insurance and related business strategies. As a principal and strategic coach of the organization, Jennifer guides analysis, client relationships and implementation across the many practices that comprise the agencies services. For more than 30 years, Jennifer has helped business owners, executives and professionals develop a clear, forward-looking strategic vision for their organization that leverages employee benefits, risk management and much more.
Ms. Borislow is past president of The Million Dollar Round Table, a premier international association of leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 450 companies in 74 countries. She is also a leading member of prominent industry associations such as NAIFA, NAHU and AALU, as well as several carrier/broker advisory councils. She is co-author of Bend the Healthcare Trend with principal of Borislow Insurance, Mark S. Gaunya, which clarifies Consumer-Driven Health and Wellness Plans and helps employers empower employees and control insurance costs.
Mark S. Gaunya, GBA, LIA Principal
Mark is a co-owner and the Chief Innovation Officer of Borislow Insurance. He is an employee benefits advisor with over 25 years of experience and a pioneer in the use of Consumer-Driven Health and Wellness Plans (CDHP) to lower healthcare costs and improve health and well-being. Mark is a certified expert in the Affordable Care Act and passionate about the power of consumerism, health and wellness to transform workplace culture. His unique ability is in developing innovative solutions to complex challenges in collaboration with clients and strategic partners.
Mark enjoys working with clients who want a strategic advisor. His most productive partnerships are with organizations who view health and wellness as a business strategy – who want to engage, educate and empower their employees and their families to live healthier lifestyles and make more informed healthcare choices.
In 2009 Mark and Jennifer co-authored Bend the Healthcare Trend. It is a book written about Consumer-Driven Health and Wellness Plans and a practical guide for employers. He is also the co-author of Inspire to Act with Jennifer. It’s a book written about living an attitude of gratitude. Mark has been quoted and published regionally and nationally in the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, Health-Plan Inter-Study, Round the Table magazine, Insurance News Net, Employee Benefit Advisor and Employee Benefit News. He has also been a featured speaker at the National Association of Health Underwriters, Million Dollar Round Table, Top of the Table, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and Employee Benefit News as well as various industry associations around the country. Mark serves on the Editorial Board of the Employee Benefit Advisor and writes a monthly blog on all things benefits.

Pamela Verrill Senior Vice President, Client Services and Operations
Pam has over thirty years of experience in operations and finance in rapidly evolving technology and service companies. She oversees the day-to-day activities of the company, including the Compliance, Health and Wellness, and HR Practices, Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Administration and Human Resources. She also implements our continuous process improvement across our business practices.
Pam is also deeply involved in the development and implementation of technology, tools and processes that enhance the client experience. This includes direction of our IT team and software development resources that support clients in wellness, consumer driven health, and digital benefits management platforms. Before joining BI, Pam held a number of Finance and Operations positions in internet start up companies, most recently as CFO of Directory, an online local advertising network specializing in helping businesses find local customers through targeted online advertising. Prior to tackling the start-up world, Pam spent 17 years at Digital Equipment Corporation holding a number of finance and operations positions at various levels.
Pam is an honors graduate of NH College with a B.S. in Business Management.
David A. Shore Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Risk Management
As Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Risk Management, David is responsible for the overall strategic direction and development of group sales, retention, client service and renewals at BI. He works closely with his team to design employee benefit programs that meet each clients’ unique objectives and challenges.
Before joining BI, David was Vice President of Sales and Leader of the Employee Benefits Underwriting Practice at The Protector Group Insurance Agency, Assistant Vice President of Sales and Service for William Gallagher Associates (WGA) and a Sales Executive in the Boston office of Great-West Life & Annuity.
David is a nationally recognized expert on Employee Benefits, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and Health & Welfare Compliance. Benefits Selling Magazine named David a Finalist for Broker of the Year in 2010. He is quoted and published regionally and nationally in the Boston Business Journal, Worcester Business Journal, Employee Benefits Advisor, and Employee Benefit News and is frequently a featured speaker. David has appeared as a healthcare reform expert on Boston’s Fox25News and CBS’s Keller at Large.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, David is a board member and current president at the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters (MassAHU), and was recently selected to the Legislative Council of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). David serves on various insurance company advisory boards, as well as the Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector (“The Marketplace”) Broker Advisory Council (BAC) and Steering Committee. In his role as President of the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters, David works closely with a number of Massachusetts state agencies on health care and related insurance policy issues, including the Office of the Assistant Attorney General (AAG), Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation (OCABR), Health Policy Commission (HPC), Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), and the Division of Insurance (DOI).
